To be a Servant Jan 19/2014

Simply me- Servant of God

Simply me- Servant of God

To be a servant. (If nothing else, read the bottom section)

I have made it safely to Kona and have been serving the YWAM base here for a week as well as I have started my learning process to becoming a humble servant leader in preparation for Nepal.

The daily schedule is extremely full and doesn’t leave much room for writing… We are currently reading a biography and memorizing Ephesians chapter 1 which is proving challenging. This week I have spent 14 hours in the prayer room in intercession praying for you at home individually as God places you on my mind, for people in a some nations overseas, for people on this campus and for various other things. This time is also spent in joyful worship and praise to God for the perfect loving father that He is. 3 hours are spent in Moravian prayer and one hour a week in the prayer room we spend praying corporately in tongues which gets pretty wild lol. Very new to me and stretches me.

I have 3 hours work duty daily and also a morning of leadership training time in class, weekly community outreaches and family time building on each other. Aside from that, there is weekly Ohana court gatherings and other serving duties. As a leader in training, I am adaptable and ready to serve whoever and whenever needed and am expected to offer support whenever possible to take the burden off others.
Setting an example for the campus and the students.

There are a few other things which all are stretching me to be a better servant and it is teaching me quickly. It is beautiful here and warm but time to spend on the water is not very practical as it is a busy schedule.
I am so excited to bond with people here and have gotten close already to people who I room with among many students and staff. There are 8 of us in the one room and are all learning a new type of servanthood for one another.

I am laying in bed rushing through this so that I can get enough sleep for the next morning so I will cut it short.

I do want to stop for a moment though and thank God for providing provision for me to be here. I also want to lift up those in prayer who have partnered with me by supporting me and are helping to sponsor me monthly.
Thank you so much. I keep each and every one of you in my thoughts and I am so blessed to have such an awesome family who loves me and loves our father God.
I also want to thank those who pray for me back home. I am going through battles and Jesus is walking me through them. Your prayers are so important to me. Please continue!
“Please let me know how I can pray for you also.” I love you.

Love is the answer!
Love always and in Jesus,

Your brother,
Jacob President
