I was planning on writing an update letter but I asked God to guide my hand. This is what happened instead

I want to start this letter off by saying Hallelujah to my Father who deserves every moment of praise and glory and honor and every life to be given to him as he is perfect in every way and he has blessed us who believe in Jesus with an eternal inheritance and given us every spiritual gift in the heavenly places already. What an honor it is to live for Jesus who is Lord over everything and exalted above all existence.

These lyrics in this song below bring me to tears every time I sing it lately and I hear God speaking through them.

And I’m loved by You. It’s who I am

Love is often seen so lightly in life and it is sometimes seen as soft and weak or as a means for personal gain physically or mentally or emotionally. Love in the world is so often conditional the way it is acted out.

Love goes way beyond any of this. Love is strong and never falters. Love is intentional and selfless. Love is giving without thinking about what you’ll receive back. Love is not for yourself but for the other. Love has no conditions of expectation or required behaviors. Love is encouraging and uplifting, true and right, bold and powerful. Love does not depend on the other person. Love endures forever.

I cannot even begin to describe what love is. These words above have no ability to capture the meaning. Love is willing to give up everything for the other. Love is what Jesus gave for us. Jesus is God. They are one and the same. Jesus lived amongst his own creation in perfect love and was perfectly humble among us. He lived in complete truth and perfection and yet we beat him, mocked him, made him suffer and killed him and though he had the ability to stop it, he remained humble to death so that you and I could live and be forgiven for our sin. Jesus rose from the dead 3 days later and he was glorified in all the heavens and placed in authority over all things and he promised us eternal life for anyone who believes in him and the truth.

I live my life in response to this. I want to do good for others and bless them and live pure not in any effort to gain salvation, because we cannot do anything to gain that. Jesus is the only one who gives us salvation and he has already done everything that will ever be needed and its free! I don’t want to live well for any personal gain or any praise or glory or ease of life. I rejoice in the hard times of life and rejoice in all circumstances because I have everything I need with food and clothing. Even if I didn’t have that, I would still rejoice because I have God’s love. I want to live a life that is pure and right and true simply because I love Jesus and he loves me. I live this way in response to what he has done and what he has already given me. Jesus deserves way more then I can give but I will give everything I have and it is not because I want to be happy. It is because I am in awe of my Lord. He is incredible and majestic.

My plan was to write an update letter but I asked God to guide my hands. This is what came out. I pray that this reaches someone and changes your heart and that you give your life to Jesus. He is worthy of it all.

If someone reading this does not know Jesus but this is gripping your heart. Jesus wants to know you. He wants you to know how great his love is for you and all that you are worth. If you want to ask Jesus to come into your life, you can do it right now. Just speak these words and say “Jesus, I want to know you. I want you to come into my life. I want to give my life to you. Please forgive me for my sins. I believe that you died on the cross for me and rose again. Teach me how to live”.

If you just prayed this prayer I want to celebrate with you! This is a wonderful day and heaven is rejoicing! Let someone know! Let everyone know! You are alive and you just met Jesus!
